Some organizations offer free breakfast only whereas others may offer more meals. Below is a list of places you can grab breakfast for free in Sacramento. These organizations usually provide more services than just breakfast. You can usually just walk in during opening hours. Some only accept women and children. Read their rules or call them before turning up.

Daytime hospitality center in a park setting for homeless men, women and children.

Wellspring Women’s Center

Serves: City of Sacramento, primarily Oak Park community, women with children of 16 years or younger.
Eligibility: Women, and children accompanied by their mothers
How to Apply: Walk-in
Drop-in center for poor women and children, primarily from the Oak Park community. Serves a light breakfast five mornings a week. Objective is to provide a safe, hospitable place for women to come for a respite from poverty. Seeks to raise the self-esteem of all female guests. Enrichment classes are offered to interested women, such as yoga, computer skills and poetry. Referrals to other agencies are given as needed.

Eligibility: Homeless or at-risk adolescents ages 11 – 22
How to Apply: By referral or walk-in
Outreach to homeless and runaway teenagers living on the streets, in abandoned buildings, in camps, etc.
