If you need help with lunch, there are organizations in Sacramento that provide free
lunch for residents needing help. Some also provide breakfast as well as dinner. Most of
them welcome walk-ins but there are some that you need to make appointments. Below is a list of places where
you can have lunch for free.
Loaves & Fishes – Dining Room

How to Apply: Walk-in with lunch ticket obtained at Service Center in Friendship Park. Free hot lunch. Only
women and children are allowed seating during the first hour.
Union Gospel Mission

Eligibility: All participants must attend chapel service at 11 a.m. prior to receiving meal.

Eligibility: Homeless or at-risk adolescents ages 11 - 22
How to Apply: By referral or walk-in
Outreach to homeless and runaway teenagers living on the streets, in abandoned buildings, in camps, etc. Nurturing,
hot meals, shower, laundry facilities and emergency clothing. Counseling and referral services. On-site case
manager for assessment, independent study and preparation for GED or school referral and placement for employment.
Referral for medical and dental care. Opportunity for recreation and socialization.
